What is it? |
The skin becomes inflamed, develops a persistent itchiness, often with blisters and then form dry scabs and a crust. It usually strikes during childhood and clears up after puberty. The two most common forms of ezcema are: contact ezcema - caused by reactions to anything from rubber shoes to metal watch straps and, atopic ezcema which usually affects people with a family history of asthma or hay fever. To relieve skin irritation, try putting sodium bicarbonate in warm bathwater.

For all types of ezcema, a doctor will probably prescribe a corticosteroid cream or a course of antibiotics to help heal the skin. Or, he may send the patient to a dermatologist. Some doctors believe that ezcema has also psychological causes. Example, unhappy marriage, or unpleasant atmosphere at work.

Reflexology
| |
Reflexologists treat diseases in parts of the body they claim to be related to “reflex areas”. It is thought that illness occurs when ‘energy channels’ in the body are blocked, causing damage to one area or another. Massage is aimed at destroying these blocks, allowing the energy to flow freely again and so heal the damage. More Info
