What is it? |

Colic is spasmodic stomach pains usually caused by the milk used in feeding young babies. Breastfed babies do not often suffer from colic. In growing children, colic may sometimes be brought on by fear of a coming event or 'ordeal'. Adults are affected less often by colic.
