What is it? |

Tissues inside a space in the wrist can sometimes swell, pinching a nerve and causing the painful condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome. It is a feeling of numbness, tingling and pain in the index finger and first finger of the affected hand, and also weakness in the thumb. Without treatment, the symptoms will gradually worsen.
